Unpublishable TripAdvisor Forum Response #002

I had scoured the TripAdvisor.com forums extensively last year when I was doing research for my trip to Spain, and out of gratitude for the advice and recommendations that other forum participants had shared, I had decided to "give back to the community" by hanging around the Hong Kong forum and helping travelers plan their holidays in this great city.

The forum is moderated, so rude and offensive posts are deleted by administrators.  However, once in while, I come across posts or participants that are so stupid or ignorant, I just felt like verbally abusing them or smacking them at the back of their heads.

But I couldn't.  Hence this series for me to vent.  (Still, to the credit of the other forum participants, particularly those that had been conferred the "Destination Expert" title, every question does get answered eventually)

Hi hi, can anyone advise on the room amenities and services? Already has some ideas from reading the hotel reviews and forum (great info and tips!) but just like to confirm,here goes...

1) wat are the toiletries provided?

Think Shampoo,hair conditioners, body wash, toothbrushes(quantity?) are provided. How about toothpaste ? and any others?  planning not to bring any common toiletries from home.

2) is housekeeping service conducted on daily basis unless we put the 'do not disturb' sign'

3) tipping the staff allowed ?

4) No room service like ordering of food?

5) A kettle for boiling water ?would be good for making milk

6) Fridge? to store our own food stuff and drink.

Any more info/input would be much, much appreciated.. looking forward to your reply.. cheers !!
